The Typical Residence Week
Residence Week, The Ultimate Deer Creek Experience! From Sunday August 8 to Saturday August 14, 2021, Deer Creek conducts a week-long sleep-over known as “Residence Week” for campers ages 7-16.
Specialization: Campers have an opportunity to specialize in one of three areas: horseback riding, swimming or general recreation. Campers receive extra periods in their specialization during the week. These periods are used for both instruction and enrichment.
Early Bird Swim: a 7:45 am swim is an excellent way to start the morning, especially in 90 degree water! The Chief keeps the boiler going so the Early Bird and evening swims are especially warm.
Meals: Three meals a day are prepared in the World Famous Deer Creek kitchen. Breakfasts range from pancakes to eggs to waffles with plenty of OJ, milk, and dry cereals. Lunches are similar to day camp lunches, consisting of chicken patties to hot dogs and pizza. Dinners vary from hamburgers to lasagna to roast beef. There are also evening snacks and an end of the week Dance.
Other activities: In the afternoon, the pool, crafts, nature, archery and field games are open. After dinner there is the Deer Creek Cup, an all camp soccer tournament, exciting camper/counselor field games and the annual bonfire on Friday night with “El Flamo”.
Tuition: Tuition for the week is $695.00. A deposit is required, with the balance due on or before August 2, 2021 (no refunds after August 2). Transportation to and from camp must be provided by the camper. Arrival time is 2:00 pm on Sunday August 8th and departure time is 10:00 am on Saturday August 14th. Register for Residence Week on the Enrollment form.
